Tribe School was born out of Tribe Porty, our coworking and creative community by the sea in Portobello. For over a decade, Tribe Porty has brought people together to work, create, connect, and grow. Tribe School is a natural extension of that mission, an evolution of how we support people to build meaningful working lives rooted in purpose and community.
Tribe School has a version of it running for seven years, beginning as Tribe Women, created by founder Dani Trudeau in collaboration with leading facilitators, educators, and experts. Across hundreds of participants and multiple cohorts, it fostered deep learning, confidence, and connection, insights that shaped the workbook Tribe School is today: Work, Meaning & the Life You're Making.

Tribe School carries the spirit of Tribe Porty into its pages, creative, welcoming, values-led, and grounded in real human connection, offering a human rights-based approach to meaningful work that is inclusive, dignified, and equitable. We're here for creative thinkers, entrepreneurs, and start-ups, particularly women, LGBTQ+ and gender-diverse people navigating compounded barriers to participation, who want to reimagine how they work and build lives that feel aligned, sustainable, and meaningful.

When you work through Tribe School, you're connecting with a new network of talented, like-minded people who embody the spirit of Tribe. During and after your time with the workbook, you'll be part of an ever-growing, vibrant, and self-sustaining community.
Throughout the experience, you'll connect with other members, share stories, ask questions, offer advice and guidance, co-create, and celebrate successes. Coaching circles, built together as part of the workbook's guidance, provide an opportunity to interact more deeply in smaller groups, and many continue long after the nine weeks are complete.
Relationships are encouraged and supported to continue well beyond the workbook itself.
